Student Supervisor

Lake Forest High School District 115 is seeking a 10 month, 7.5 hour/day Student Supervisor. The Student Supervisor supervises students in common areas, manages student attendance in study halls, coordinates with the resource centers to monitor student attendance, and performs daily tasks for the Dean's Office. Starting rate: $19.50/hr. Benefits include personal and sick leave, tuition reimbursement up to $1300 annually, 100% district paid single HMO health and single dental insurance (other options available), and retirement through IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) with the district paying the full district premium and employees paying the 4.5% employee contribution.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with office and school-based management systems preferred.

Essential functions include supervising students in study hall, recording appropriate attendance, following up with students who sign out of study hall, supervising common areas and cafeteria as assigned, monitoring parking passes in the senior lot, covering for other staff, delivering passes and/or notes to students' classes, going to classes to get students if requested, working with the Deans to issue, track, and follow up on 30 minute detentions, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth, maintaining confidentiality, and performing other job related duties as assigned.

Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and reaching. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and lift. Repetitive motions are required. Must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment includes inside environmental conditions and is subject to noises associated with both office and educational environments.
