Culinary Assistant Server PRNAs Needed Grand Island, NE

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island NE is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server to work PRN/As Needed. The shift times are Monday-Friday 4p-8p and weekends 6a-2:30p or noon-8p. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation.

Tabitha is now Eventide. Learn more here: Culinary Assistant is responsible for assisting in food preparation upholding cleaning and sanitary standards and managing kitchen inventory and supplies.

Essential Functions

1. Prepares food to order in the dining room as requested by Senior/client. Assists with serving meals to residents following diet orders and requests while providing outstanding customer service during guest interactions.
2. Assists cook in preparing food items for meal service in large quantities. Follows recipes according to appropriate safe food handling procedures using food service equipment.
3. Ensures accurate and timely documentation related to food production quality and food safety. Ensures food and products are properly acquired stored dated and rotated.
4. Responsible for operating dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned and sanitized dried and put away in a timely manner.
5. Handle trash and sweep and mop kitchen floor.
6. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen storeroom cold storage areas hallways and dock areas completing cleaning checklists as directed.
7. Assists with unloading receiving and stocking food/supply delivers from the food delivery trucks when needed.
8. Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position as assigned by Eventide regardless of TEAMember preference. Performs tasks according to established time measures and standards.

Ideal Candidate

• COMMUNICATION : Must be able to speak read write and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 32 - pounds demonstrating strength and agility at Eventides discretion.
• AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 16.
• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: Six months of experience in sanitation work in health care or food preparation facility preferred.
• CREDENTIALS: Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required for Eventide campuses in Lancaster County. Must meet Eventides vaccination requirements.

Compensation

At Eventide we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $15-16.80 per hour for Culinary Assistants based on qualifications experience and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available for select positions paid on employment status and shift worked.
