Assistant Project Manager – Civil Construction

We are seeking an entry-level Assistant Project Manager to support the planning and execution of civil construction projects. This position is ideal for a recent graduate who wants to build a career in construction project management and gain hands-on experience working with both office and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Entry-level position; prior construction experience is preferred but not required
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with construction software is a plus
• Willingness to spend time both in the office and on active construction sites

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day management of civil construction projects
• Review plans, specifications, quantities, and project requirements
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and subcontractor coordination
• Track project schedules, costs, quantities, and production
• Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and owners
• Assist with project documentation, progress reports, and pay applications
• Attend project meetings and site visits
• Help identify and resolve field and project issues
• Support project closeout and documentation
