About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid compact license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience - Ability to cover night shifts as needed - First-timers accepted Description: Winter bill rate increase will be effective from October through February. Cancellations due to the rate change after signature will result in systemwide Do Not Return. Applicants must have experience with trauma status. Travelers may need to float between like units. Call will be distributed equally among all nursing staff every 6 weeks. This could be up to 6-8 shifts within a 6-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends. Candidates are required to commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day). References are required covering prior work experience. Travelers who refuse to float may face contract termination. Candidates should not contact facility directly unless for an agreed interview. Providers may be supplied communication devices needed for duties. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities. Inflexibility beyond the contracted schedule may lead to contract termination. All requests for time off must be made upfront during submission. Travel experience is required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Only local candidates will be considered that meet the specified criteria.
