Store Manager
Trade Fair Supermarkets | Queens, NY | Full-time | On-site | 24/7 store
About the job
Trade Fair is a Queens grocery chain known for international foods, fresh produce, butcher shop (including halal), deli, bakery, and everyday low prices. Stores are open 24 hours.
You run the store: sales, staffing, freshness, cleanliness, and customer service.
Responsibilities
Meet sales, labor, waste, and shrink goals
Keep grocery and specialty items in stock
Run weekly ads and store displays
Oversee produce, meat, deli, bakery, dairy, frozen, and buffet
Follow food safety, temperature, and sanitation rules
Hire, schedule, and train staff for all shifts, including overnight
Handle customer issues on the floor
Watch cash, receiving, and loss prevention
Follow NYC health and labor rules
Requirements
3+ years as a supermarket ASM or Store Manager
Experience with perishables and a service meat or deli counter
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
NYC / Queens grocery experience
Independent or ethnic supermarket background
Spanish, Arabic, Greek, Bengali, or another neighborhood language
Halal meat and international grocery experience
Schedule
Full-time, on-site. 24/7 operation.
Pay
