Sr. Flight Software Engineer

Salary: $92,000 - 132,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, or equivalent practical experience.
• We need at least 7 years of professional experience working with C or C++.
• We look for experience building software for embedded systems or other high-performance applications.
• We value the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Preferred: strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
• Preferred: experience with DO-178C.
• Preferred: background developing safety-critical software.
• Preferred: excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• We develop highly deterministic C++ software in a bare-metal environment.
• We work with sensors and control systems, and ensure robust handling of system faults.
• We integrate flight software with other vehicle subsystems.
• We drive software requirements and create strong unit tests.
• We collaborate directly with flight hardware in the lab and on the aircraft.
• We help plan flight testing and see our code fly the plane.
