Power And Air Compressor Rental Sales RepresentativeStewart & Stevenson is now hiring for a Power and Air Compressor Rental Sales Representative in Houston, TX 77029.The role involves renting electric and diesel-powered air compressors, diesel-powered portable generators, forklifts, and material handling equipment for various markets including industrial, commercial, medical, institutional, petrochemical, and oil & gas sectors.ResponsibilitiesGenerate new customer accounts and service existing ones.Recommend and rent air compressors, generators, and related equipment.Achieve sales goals and forecasts.Assist in marketing and sale of new products.Review job completions for cost variations.Interface with other departments for project development.Monitor sales orders for cost and delivery compliance.Compute installation or production costs and prepare bid specifications.Develop business relationships within the petroleum industry.Plan and organize sales strategy.Resolve customer problems and complaints.Ensure strong market share through product direction and information.Attend sales meetings and read industry publications.Demonstrate and explain equipment use.Arrange for machinery installation and recommend solutions.Evaluate sales performance.Provide management reports on market conditions.Conduct business transactions ethically.QualificationsEffective communication skills.Clear and concise writing.Conformity to values and standards.Goal-oriented and result-driven.Credibility and trustworthiness.Ability to work with diverse personalities.Public information presentation.Relationship building with customers and co-workers.Dependability and trustworthiness.Internal motivation and initiative.Ability to convince and lead a group.Preferred experience in compressed air, power generation, and material handling.Ability to build strong presentations and follow company pricing guidelines.Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Education/Experience:High School Graduate or GED required, three to seven years related experience. Associates or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Prior experience with JD Edwards systems preferred.Physical Activities & Requirements: Standard office criteria.Working Conditions: Office environment, with some shop environment exposure.
