Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - $2,401 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We’re looking for a Labor and Delivery RN for an immediate travel nursing assignment in Ottumwa, IA. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements. Responsibilities Stay with and monitor the patient throughout labor. Monitor contractions and assist patients with breathing techniques. Check the cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation. Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after the birthing process. Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc. Provide immediate care to the newborn. Requirements ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE certifications. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery or a related acute care setting. Competent in standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
