Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients receiving cancer treatments and supportive therapies
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
• Administer medications, chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies in accordance with facility protocols
• Monitor for treatment-related side effects and complications
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
• Collaborate with oncologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and oncology care protocols

Requirements

• Active RN License in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology nursing experience
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification preferred
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
