Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry specialty provides comprehensive patient care by monitoring and assessing patients with cardiac conditions. They work closely with physicians to implement and evaluate individualized care plans, ensuring safe and effective treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon admission and continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Develop, implement, and document nursing care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care throughout shifts.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment and promptly address changes in condition.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and support nursing care innovations.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient progress, interventions, and clinical priorities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Hold a minimum of 2 years recent telemetry experience.
• Have completed an ASN from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Obtain and maintain BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, and Telemetry Certification or competency.
• Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
