Accounting Specialist Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 23.00 to $ 27.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

• Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time; ensure required documentation is included.
• Monitor AR aging; follow up on past-due balances with professional, consistent communication and clear documentation of outreach.
• Process incoming payments (check, ACH, credit card) and apply payments accurately to customer accounts.
• Research and help resolve billing discrepancies; coordinate with Sales/Customer Service to correct issues and protect customer relationships.
• Prepare customer statements, credit memos, and account reconciliations as needed.
• Assist with customer account onboarding and setup; maintain accurate customer files and contact information.

Accounting Specialist Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting; AR experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting/ERP system) and Microsoft Excel; comfortable producing basic AR/AP reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Professional communication skills; able to work effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Core Competencies
