In this pivotal role, you’ll guide talented pre-sales Systems Engineers who help the US Government’s National Security Agencies and the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) modernize their data strategies with industry-leading all-flash storage, cloud, and AI-driven data solutions. WHAT YOU’LL DO:Demonstrate effective people development in a rapidly evolving technical space Assist in developing a technical sales strategy and executing against that plan.Act as an employee advocate who is focused on team and people development, demonstrating high EQHave a desire to drive operational excellence; create a team support methodology and validation of technical demandLead by example, living the Pure Values: Persistence, Creativity, Teamwork, Ownership, Customer-firstDevelop an exhaustive understanding of what drives a customer’s business and what motivates their decision makingAct as a lead technical officer in the territory which you coverRefine sales strategy and tactics, taking command of technical responsibilitiesDelight customers and teammates with your technical leadership and domain expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the DAS, NAS and SAN product spacesEnable team to:Capture requirements and translate Customer’s business needs into innovative solutions to accelerate their growth and capacityAuthor responses to RFI & RFPs when neededSeek out and spur new opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing/validationPromote mutual roadmap and planning exchangesMove with market trends and competitive landscape to promote thought leadership within our organizationWHAT YOU BRING:8+ years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers selling into the US Federal & Intelligence Accounts, 10+ years experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centersDeep understanding of US Government IT architecture; including design and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutionsPrior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clientsKnowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and ContainersKnowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networkingExcellent verbal and written interpersonal skillsBS in CS, EE or other technical degree and/or equivalent experienceActive security clearance required#LI-REMOTESalary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
