About the Role:

Umbrella Functional Consulting & Support Team is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our leadership team. Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD)

Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and daily routines

Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately

Transport and accompany clients to community activities, appointments, and social events

Foster independence and skill-building through positive reinforcement and person-centered approaches

Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members regarding client needs and progress

Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges and crisis situations following established protocols

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; experience in human services, caregiving, or IDD support preferred

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

ODP Direct Support Professional Certification

Ability to pass background checks, including PA State Police and FBI clearances

Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Ability to lift, assist, and support clients with mobility needs as required
