Principal Duties & Responsibilities Performance Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel sales, and retail shrink. Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, answering questions, informing about promotions, and recommending complementary products and services. Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and on‑line orders courteously. Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and elevate the guest experience. Book appointments and support the execution of services and in‑store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals. Stay informed about new and existing products and services, and remain knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits. Maintain prompt, regular attendance. People Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests. Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app. Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business. Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education, to enable continuous professional development and drive sales performance. Process Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards. Adhere to the dress code. Drive sales by keeping the assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensuring testers are available. Maintain outstanding store standards and overall cleanliness, including salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area. Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing using store technology. Follow loss‑prevention best practices to protect company assets while providing exceptional guest service. Execute other operational tasks as directed. Job Qualifications High school diploma or preferred equivalent. 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Passion for guest service and competency for selling. Proficiency with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices. Strong customer‑relationship building skills. Ability to troubleshoot. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Special Position Requirements Work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Working Conditions Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift. Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting. Continuous or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs. Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.92 – $20.00 per hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
