The Fort Peck Service Unit operates across northeastern Montana on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation , with its facilities located in the towns of Poplar and Wolf Point .

A Pharmacist position(s) will be providing outpatient and ambulatory pharmaceutical care to the local tribal community .

Core Job Responsibilities

• Chart and Order Review: Screen patient medical charts and cross-reference new medication orders with lab results, vital signs, and recorded allergies.

• Dispensing and Accuracy: Process, fill, and double-check prescriptions to ensure the correct drug, dosage, and form are dispensed.

• Patient Care and Education: Counsel patients on proper medication therapy, administration, and potential side effects.

• Provider Collaboration: Work closely with medical providers and the broader clinic team to optimize patient drug therapies.

• Clinical Safety: Monitor for adverse drug reactions, manage emergency interventions if necessary, and conduct controlled substance audits.

Schedule and Environment

• Hours: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (with modified Wednesday openings standard at IHS clinics).

• Setting: Outpatient ambulatory care facility serving the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes .
