Key Responsibilities include: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Fabricates, modifies, or repairs mechanical instruments. Provides feedback on best practices for manufacturability Carry out maintenance on company owned machine shop Provide mentoring to junior/less trained staff Skills and Knowledge: Required: Knowledge of advanced machining practices and the ability to determine safest machining procedures. Knowledge of CNC programming and electronic equipment. Be able to use various types of tools and equipment. Has a comprehensive understanding of machining standards and exotic materials. Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings. Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive an automobile. Ability to work beyond normal workday or workweek. Able to travel.
