Global Social Media ManagerThe Skullcandy team is looking for a creative, hands-on Global Social Media Manager to amplify the brand voice and organic social content globally. This person will be the driving force of our social media strategy, analysis, day-to-day execution and reporting while also creating new and effective ways to extend our social presence and engage the youth culture community.Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Strategy & Brand VoiceDevelop and evolve Skullcandy's global social media strategy in alignment with overall brand, product and business objectives.Define how Skullcandy should show up across each platform, tailoring content, voice and engagement strategies to the unique behavior and culture of each channel.Serve as a guardian of Skullcandy's brand voice on social, ensuring content feels authentic, distinctive, culturally relevant and consistent globally.Develop scalable social playbooks, channel guidelines and best practices for global and regional teams.Lead regular communication with international teams to share insights, best practices, upcoming plans and opportunities.Identify opportunities to evolve Skullcandy's social presence through emerging platforms, technologies, formats and behaviors.Content & Campaign DevelopmentDevelop and manage a comprehensive global social content calendar spanning brand storytelling, product launches, cultural moments, partnerships, creators, UGC and always-on content.Partner with Creative to develop social-first concepts and content that extend integrated campaigns and product launches.Partner with Brand Marketing to source, brief and manage creator and athlete content for social.Translate larger marketing campaigns into platform-native social storytelling designed to drive engagement, conversation and sharing.Manage the end-to-end flow of social content from ideation and briefing through production, publishing and optimization.Identify opportunities to create timely, reactive and culturally relevant content that keeps Skullcandy in the conversation.Community & CultureLead the brand's approach to community management, ensuring Skullcandy consistently engages with consumers in an authentic, timely and on-brand way.Monitor conversations, trends and cultural moments to identify opportunities for the brand to participate meaningfully.Stay deeply connected to youth culture, boardsports (skate, snow, surf), music, street style, gaming, creators, entertainment and the broader cultural landscape relevant to Skullcandy.Analytics & OptimizationEstablish channel-specific objectives and KPIs across awareness, engagement, reach, video views, community growth, sentiment and other relevant measures.Own regular reporting and analysis of social performance, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations.Manage agency partners supporting social listening, sentiment monitoring, metrics and data, holding them accountable for quality, timeliness and actionable insights.Continuously optimize content, channel strategy and publishing based on performance, audience behavior and platform changes.Connect social performance to broader marketing and business objectives, moving beyond vanity metrics to demonstrate meaningful impact.Leverage AI where appropriate to streamline the operational side of social, including content calendar and project management, briefing and approval processes, community management triage, and performance data analysis and reporting, etc.Ensure responsible AI use in line with Skullcandy's guidelines: AI supports workflow, process and data, not image or video generation; all AI-assisted outputs receive human review; and confidential and consumer data is protected.Cross-Functional PartnershipServe as the platform owner across Skullcandy's social channels, ensuring organic and paid efforts work together on each platform.Support the DTC team's paid social efforts on Meta and YouTube, including offering top-performing organic, athlete, creator and UGC content for paid amplification.Support DTC's social commerce efforts, including TikTok Shop, from the organic content and platform ownership side.Current Channels to Manage:Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), RedditDiscord and Twitch experience a plusQualifications and Skills5+ years of professional social media experience; proven success in building audiences for brands through social media and digital contentExperience using AI tools in day-to-day workflows for process efficiency, project management, and data analysisEducation background in Marketing and/or Communications is a plusExperience with the tools and analytics related to evaluating success in social media publishing, and building relationships and partnerships with influencers and brandsExperience managing agency partners (e.g., social listening, sentiment, analytics) strongly desiredCreative and/or content creation experience strongly desiredExperience working with lifestyle and consumer goods brands strongly desiredPersonal and/or professional connection to Skullcandy communities (skate, snow, surf, music, street style, gaming, creators) strongly desiredProficient in social scheduling tools and analytics platformsStrong understanding of social media metrics, data analysis, and reporting toolsProven ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally, including with Brand Marketing, DTC/eCommerce and international teams
