Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Training Grant), Psychiatry

Position: Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Training Grant) Department: Psychiatry Research Schedule: 40 hours per week Position Summary Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the fellow will participate in major research studies using established methodologies and translational projects. The role includes supervising laboratory activities, guiding undergraduate students on multiple research projects, monitoring specimens or subjects, and collecting and analyzing data. The fellow will also collaborate with the Principal Investigator on designing and modifying clinical research protocols, coordinating data collection and analysis, publishing results, developing new project ideas, and contributing to grant proposals. Job Responsibilities Supervise research activities in the laboratory. Provide guidance to undergraduate students performing research projects. Monitor specimens or subjects during studies. Collect and analyze data. Collaborate with the Principal Investigator on protocol design, data collection, publication, new project development, and grant proposal development. Job Requirements MD or PhD required. Exposure to clinical research preferred. Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm for a research career. Self‑directed, able to prioritize essential tasks and balance multiple responsibilities. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with researchers, clinicians, and administrators. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers; experience with statistical analysis tools preferred.
