Houseperson

The hotel houseperson keeps public spaces clean, supports room cleaners by moving heavy items, and restocks supplies. Key duties include cleaning lobbies and hallways, stocking linen carts, and bringing requested items to guest rooms. Responsibilities: Cleaning Public Areas: Sweeps, mops, and vacuums lobbies, elevators, hallways, and public restrooms. Empties trash cans and washes windows or walls. Supporting Housekeepers: Delivers clean linens and supplies to floor closets and removes heavy bags of dirty laundry. Helps strip beds or move heavy furniture. Handling Guest Requests: Drops off extra pillows, blankets, cribs, or rollaway beds directly to guest rooms. Safety and Maintenance: Reports broken items or safety hazards to the maintenance team. Keeps storage areas neat and safe. Qualifications: Physical Strength: Must be able to stand for long periods, bend down, and lift heavy weights up to 50–75 pounds. Schedule: Often requires working flexible shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Skills: Basic communication skills and a helpful, friendly attitude toward hotel guests. Compensation: $16.50 - $17 hourly
