• Prepare ingredients and food items according to established recipes, portion specifications, and the Executive Chef’s standards
• Wash, peel, chop, slice, dice, measure, and portion ingredients for daily kitchen preparation
• Prepare sauces, dressings, marinades, stocks, and other components as assigned
• Follow prep lists and prioritize tasks based on daily service needs and anticipated business volume
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
• Monitor ingredient freshness, quality, and quantities; communicate low stock and replenishment needs to kitchen leadership
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, including proper cleaning and sanitizing of tools, equipment, and food preparation surfaces
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, temperature control, and food handling procedures
• Assist line cooks and other kitchen team members with food preparation and additional kitchen tasks as needed
• Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries as assigned
• Assist with kitchen opening/closing and daily cleaning procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or management

• Previous experience as a prep cook, prep chef, or in a similar kitchen position is preferred
• Food Handler’s Certification or ServSafe certification preferred, with the ability to obtain any required certification
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices
• Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, portion guidelines, and instructions accurately
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and maintain consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to cleanliness, food quality, and maintaining professional kitchen standards
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds
