Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (20:00–08:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 63-bed unit
• Manage care for an adult to geriatric patient population
• Work every other weekend as scheduled and observe holidays as they fall on the schedule
• Float within the Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed; travelers are first to float
• Adhere to unit dress code; navy scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric populations in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Comfort with floating within scope and adapting to varying acuity levels
