Sr. Embedded Firmware EngineerAs our Embedded Firmware Engineer you will be responsible for the planning, design, verification, and overall coordination for safety-certified aerospaceactuation applications. Performs activities in accordance with DO-178C / ED-12C and other customer- specific requirements. Collaborates closely with other team members to optimize performance and robustness while accomplishing certification objectives for hardware (DO-254 / ED-80), equipment/system (ARP4754), and safety (ARP4761). Leads a remote or local development team. Familiar with the use of microprocessors to implement embedded software solutions (i.e. bare-metal software or firmware) relevant to motion/motor control and power conversion applications in aerospace environments. Interfaces frequently and well with the internal process assurance team and external certification-related personnel. Works with project leadership to develop project plans/scheduled. Advises leadership and younger peers on resource needs. Oversees the development and implementation of, software plans, standards, and infrastructure necessary to accomplish assigned tasks. Design the software architecture of ground-up projects to align with modularity, reuse, and functionality.Act as architectural SME through implementation, validation, and bring-up phasesSupport hardware/software integration and lab debugging as needed by interpreting schematics, datasheets, board-level designs, and hardware specifications at a functional level, while partnering with hardware specialists on low-level driver or board-specific details.What You BringMust be a US CitizenBachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineer, or Software Engineering10+ years experienceExperience with DO-178C / ED-12C software certification.Experience in the development of actuator and motor controllers.Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Officeand Visio.Refined soft skills for coaching/mentoring and working with other teammembers.Excellent analysis and decision-making skills.Strong customer interface capabilities and negotiation skills required.Ability to interact and collaborate with internal and external programmanagement.Creativity, innovation, and commitment to excellence with the ability towork in a diverse, fast paced environment.
