Work Environment\n

This role allows for flexible working arrangements, as the work setting is primarily remote, within the framework of our community health clinic. Your work hours will typically be Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the possibility of some evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mood disorder symptoms, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues.

  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and goals, ensuring their active involvement in the therapeutic process.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver effective treatment interventions tailored for mood disorders.

  • Provide education and resources to clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care techniques to facilitate recovery and promote understanding.

  • Regularly monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring alignment with therapeutic outcomes and patient engagement.

  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care approach, optimizing client outcomes through effective communication and shared insights.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • Possession of a current and valid license in one of the following categories: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in the state of New York.
