What If Your MRI Career Gave You Thursdays Back?
Most MRI jobs ask what you can give.
This one gives something back.
Imagine wrapping up your day and being home in minutes. No sitting in traffic. No losing an hour of your life staring at brake lights. Just more time for family dinner, a bike ride, a workout, a hike, or simply enjoying your evening while it's still light outside.
At PeaceHealth Longview Radiology in Kelso, Washington , MRI technologists work a schedule that's becoming increasingly rare: Monday through Wednesday, plus Friday. Every Thursday is yours.
It's the opportunity to work with the Fujifilm OASIS High-Field Open MRI, one of the most advanced open MRI platforms available. Designed to provide exceptional patient comfort without sacrificing image quality, the OASIS allows you to care for patients who often struggle in traditional MRI environments, including claustrophobic, anxious, pediatric, and bariatric patients.
As an MRI technologist, you'll do more than perform exams.
You'll help patients complete imaging studies they weren't sure they could get through.
You'll create a calmer experience for patients who arrive nervous. You'll use clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and patient-centered care to make every exam successful.
For many MRI professionals, that's the kind of work that brings purpose back to the profession.
Why MRI Technologists Remember This Opportunity
Working on the Fujifilm OASIS Open MRI means you're not spending your day performing the same routine scans in a traditional tunnel system.
Instead, you're helping expand access to MRI for patients who need a different approach.
You'll support imaging for:
- Orthopedics
- Neurology
- Oncology
- Spine and Pain Management
- Primary Care
- Emergency Department follow-up patients
Every day brings a different patient story, a different challenge, and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Independence You Can Feel
This outpatient imaging center offers something experienced MRI technologists consistently value:
Trust.
You'll be empowered to:
- Exercise clinical judgment
- Adapt exams to individual patient needs
- Maintain MRI safety standards
- Collaborate directly with providers
- Deliver a patient experience that reflects your expertise
For technologists cross-trained in CT or X-ray, additional opportunities may exist to maintain multiple competencies while supporting continuity of care throughout the department.
The Difference Isn't Just the MRI
Many organizations talk about culture.
PeaceHealth lives it.
Here, caregivers are encouraged to bring both their technical expertise and their humanity to work every day.
You're not viewed as someone filling a schedule.
You're viewed as a professional whose knowledge, compassion, and judgment directly influence patient care.
The result is an environment where many caregivers build long-term careers because they genuinely feel supported, respected, and valued.
