Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular / Perivascular Operating Room

Location

Wausau, WI | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Days | Expected 40 hours/week | 4x10-hour shifts when possible, with 5x8-hour shifts when needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a perivascular and cardiovascular OR setting, supporting both open vascular and endovascular cases
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties as assigned across vascular procedure types
• Participate in on-call rotation: expected one night of call per week, one weekend per month, and one backup call per week; additional call may be required on occasion with a 30-minute response time to be ready and in the OR
• Rotate weekends and holidays on an every 3rd–4th weekend and holiday schedule
• May be required to float to other facility locations within the health system as needed
• Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline applicable vaccinations during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Perivascular OR experience required
• Conscious sedation experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Experience with both open vascular and endovascular OR cases
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, manage a dynamic work environment, and work effectively within a team
