Requires investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop resolutions.Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration, dependent on program phaseAssist in the derivation of system and software requirements, architectural modeling, and technical analysisDesign, code, unit test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software solutions with a focus on RF and sensing capabilities.Participate actively in software peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decision-making alongside multidisciplinary teams, including program leadership and customersSupport program execution to ensure work products meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.Follow established software development processes and practices to maintain software product integrity.Work Location: Onsite at our McKinney, TX CampusThis position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.U.S. Citizenship is requiredQualifications You Must HaveMaster's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from accredited institution. Degree must be obtained by start date.Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related software languages.Experience in computer scripting languages such as Python/Shell/Perl.Strong Object-Oriented Design knowledgeEmbedded software development knowledge.Experience developing software in a team-based development environment.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilityAbility to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.Qualifications We PreferKnowledge of Software Development Processes and experience participating in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, implementation, and testingDevelopment experience on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real Time Operating SystemsPractical experience with developing and integrating software RF systems.Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware (e.g., test benches, simulators).Experience with product development utilizing the Scrum techniques of the Agile software development process.Experience with DevSecOps pipeline implementation and use, including Static Code Analysis, Automated Build, and Automated Test techniques using continuous integration/continuous delivery with Test-Driven Development approach.Hands-on experience with Git for version control and GitLab for repository management.Modeling and Simulation knowledge.Real-time, multi-threaded software development experience.Experience in Agile development methods including Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration.Familiarity with a breadth of software tools, such as git, CMake, Eclipse, Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Google Test, Qt, etc.What We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
