Role Description The Personal Injury Attorney will handle a full caseload of motor vehicle accident and personal injury matters from intake through resolution. Responsibilities include conducting client consultations, evaluating claims, gathering evidence, and developing case strategies. The attorney will draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlement demands, as well as negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel. Court-related duties may include attending hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials, and effectively advocating for clients in all stages of litigation. The role also involves maintaining regular, professional communication with clients, managing case deadlines, and collaborating with support staff to move cases efficiently. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. Qualifications Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas, with experience or strong interest in personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases. Proficiency in legal research, case analysis, and application of Texas personal injury and insurance laws. Strong drafting skills for pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and correspondence. Effective negotiation, oral advocacy, and courtroom presentation skills. Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and empathetically. Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys in a fast-paced environment. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; prior personal injury or litigation experience is strongly preferred. Fluency in additional languages (such as Spanish) is a plus, especially for serving a diverse client base.
