PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: Temps are considered but only after the CVO releases the file and must be reviewed at the CC meeting
Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, after CVO release and CC meeting review

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: ABMS/AOA certified or Board eligible in EM only. If BE, must be obtained 5 years post residency/fellowship training.
Licenses: Active & unrestricted GA State medical license; DEA with GA address
DEA / CDS: Active DEA with GA address required
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, & ATLS. If ABEM, then ATLS not required.
Experience: Completed Residency at an accredited ACGME institution
Other Qualifications: Clinical activity for the past 2 years; 2 year summary or certificates of CME/CEU (20 per year); TB, Flu (during season) immunizations; NPPA Supervision required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency medical care to patients in a 30-bed ED within a 310-bed hospital
Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants during their 24-hour coverage shifts
Maintain clinical activity logs and complete required CME/CEU credits annually
Update GCMB profile with the new GA site address to serve as a Collaborative Physician
Complete pre-application process as required by the facility
