GENERAL SUMMARY


The Seasonal Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various areas of the club, including gym facilities, locker rooms, tennis courts, restaurant areas, pools, and common spaces, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for members and guests.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

• General Facility Cleaning:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean the gymnasium, fitness areas, lounge spaces, hallways, and locker rooms.

• Sanitize and restock all bathrooms, including replenishing towels, soap, toilet paper, and other amenities.

• Clean and disinfect fitness equipment, benches, and machines regularly to ensure hygiene standards are met.

• Clean mirrors, windows, and other glass surfaces, especially in the gym and tennis areas.

• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with club policies.

• Restaurant & Dining Areas:

• Clean dining tables, chairs, and seating areas in the restaurant and cafe.

• Wipe down counters and high-touch surfaces in dining areas.

• Ensure the restaurant floor is clean and free from debris, including sweeping and mopping as needed.

• Tennis Court and Outdoor Areas:

• Clean and maintain the club's outdoor and indoor tennis courts, ensuring they are free of debris and dirt.

• Wipe down seating areas and benches located near the courts.

• Ensure that any outdoor equipment (e.g., tennis ball carts, nets) is kept tidy and in good condition.

• Laundry and Linens:

• Wash, dry, and fold towels, gym clothing, and other linens used by members.

• Ensure that fresh towels are readily available for the pool, gym, and tennis players.

• Maintain an organized system for linen storage and ensure all items are properly laundered.

• Inventory Management:

• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, towels, and toiletries for locker rooms and gym areas.

• Report any equipment malfunctions or inventory shortages to the facility manager.

• Health & Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment.

• Use cleaning products safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions.

• Ensure that all areas are regularly disinfected, especially high-touch surfaces like door handles, gym equipment, and locker room facilities.

• Customer Service & Member Interaction:

• Greet and assist members and guests with any cleaning-related requests, such as additional towels or gym equipment.

• Maintain a polite, professional demeanor while working around members and staff.

• Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up or cleaning for special events, tournaments, or activities hosted by the club.

• Perform deep cleaning tasks during club closures or routine off-hours.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and converse effectively.

• Ability to follow and execute instructions thoroughly.

• Basic understanding of equipment operation and ability to follow instructions for safe use.

• Ability to read labels and product information.

• Ability to solve problems and adapt in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

• Interpret instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram formats.

• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate Club needs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• 2 years previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, especially in a gym, sports facility, or hospitality setting.

• High School diploma or equivalent required (preferred, but not mandatory).

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the dishwashing area for extended periods.

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• While performing essential functions, the employee will be in an indoor, controlled environment and occasionally outdoors, with a moderate noise level.
