The organization is known for reliability, attention to detail, and building the foundations for future growth. Role Description The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Rockmart, GA. This role is responsible for reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for site development, grading, excavation, and utility installation projects. The Estimator will quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor needs, solicit and analyze vendor quotes, and develop competitive bids and proposals. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with project managers and field supervisors, performing site visits when needed, and updating estimates based on design changes or field conditions. The Estimator will maintain estimating records, support budget development, and help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while aligning with company safety and quality standards. Qualifications Strong skills in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis for civil/site work projects. Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents. Experience using estimating or project management software, spreadsheets, and basic office productivity tools. Knowledge of site development processes, grading, excavation, underground utilities, and related construction methods. Solid analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners. Ability to work on-site in Rockmart, GA, manage multiple estimates and deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements. Previous experience as an estimator or in construction management for civil/site development projects preferred. Relevant education in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
