Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed unit consisting of stepdown (1:3 ratio) and floor beds (1:5 or 1:6 ratio) for cardiology, heart failure, cardiac surgery, and med-surg patients
• Titrate drips including heparin, insulin, nitroglycerin, Cardizem, nicardipine, Lasix, amiodarone, and dobutamine
• Manage and monitor patients on respiratory support equipment including nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and trach-to-vent
• Collaborate with dedicated charge nurses, house supervisors, clinical associates, telemetry techs, and respiratory therapy staff
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including rotating float assignments to floor beds as needed
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and self-scheduling via Kronos

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Ability to meet weekend requirements: 3–4 weekend days (Saturday/Sunday), 2 Fridays, and 2 Mondays per 4-week scheduling period for night shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior cardiac or cardiac stepdown nursing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
• Experience working in a high-acuity stepdown environment with titratable drip management
