Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist - United Health Services in Binghamton, NYUnited Health Services Hospitals is a family of health service organizations that exists to improve the health of the communities we serve by developing and maintaining a comprehensive and cost-effective health care system. A not-for-profit organization, located in the Southern Tier of Upstate New York with Primary and Specialty Care offices in many locations throughout Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Tioga counties.The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician.Essential Duties:Obtain medical histories when necessaryPerform physician examsDiagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases (within protocol guidelines)Order diagnostic testPrescribe or recommend medications for prescriptions for medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines)Provide preventive health screenings and immunizationsAssure charts are completed timelyMake follow up calls to check patient's progressConsult with physician regarding patient's symptoms to assure proper diagnosis and plan of treatmentPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Master's degree in nursingCertified Nurse PractitionerLicensed in the State of New YorkLOCATION: Binghamton, NY is located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour from Syracuse, NY.
