Part-Time Housekeeper – Lake Forest, IL

A private household in Lake Forest is seeking an experienced Part-Time, Live-Out Housekeeper to join their established household team. This position is ideal for a dedicated household professional who is polished, discreet, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining a beautifully cared-for home.
The family's long-standing Housekeeper will assist with training and onboarding, helping the incoming Housekeeper become familiar with the household's routines, preferences, and standards.

Position:  Part-Time, Live-Out Housekeeper
Location: Lake Forest, IL
Start Date:  ASAP
Schedule:  Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; Monday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
Guaranteed  Hours: 27 hours per week
Compensation: $30/hr.
Driving:  Required; household vehicle provided for work-related driving
Parking:  Provided
Responsibilities

• Complete detailed daily cleaning and periodic deep cleaning to a high standard
• Ensure the residence remains immaculate, organized, and beautifully maintained
• Provide proper care for fine furnishings, household surfaces, and finishes
• Handle household laundry, linens, and garment care with attention to detail
• Maintain organization of closets, storage areas, and common living spaces
• Unpack and put away groceries and other household purchases
• Drive the principal to and from appointments as needed
• Coordinate and work collaboratively with other members of the household staff
• Let the family dog outside as needed; no significant pet care required
• Exercise professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have professional housekeeping experience, preferably within a high-end private residence. The family is seeking someone who is reliable, polished, organized, discreet, kind, flexible, and committed to providing an exceptional level of household service.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to recognize what needs attention and take initiative without requiring constant direction. They should be comfortable managing their responsibilities independently while also working collaboratively as part of an established household team.
A strong driving record, comfort around dogs, and excellent professional references are required.
