TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified CVICU RN in Lafayette, Indiana, 47904!

Job Title

Travel: RN CVICU/PCU (3x12's - Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Care / CVICU setting with acuity-adaptable ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
• Monitor and manage cardiac and post-operative cardiac patients, as well as medical ICU overflow
• Operate and manage specialized equipment including balloon pump, Impella, EKOS, transvenous pacers, cardiac monitors, CRRT, and ventilators
• Accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and pass facility rhythm competency assessment
• Float to ICU or other inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of PCU / Progressive Care nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass facility cardiac rhythm knowledge test with a score of 90% or higher

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Cardiac ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic support devices
• Experience with Epic EMR
