Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Ohio Start Date: October 5, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM), weekdays and rotating weekends. 8 weekend shifts per contract. Rotating holidays. Floating required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. 36 hours of orientation provided. Highlights: Combined adult and pediatric emergency department serving all age groups from pediatrics through geriatrics 28-room emergency department with approximately 110 visits per day and a daily census of 195 Level 3 Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and STEMI Center designation 4:1 patient ratios across all shifts Epic EMR system in use Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support Requirements: Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications preferred Epic EMR experience required Previous travel experience strongly preferred Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program Skills required: Blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, CVA care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, IV starts and maintenance, and triage 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor) Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a high-volume emergency department where you'll care for a diverse patient population across all age groups in a fast-paced environment.
