Responsibilities Operate motorized material handling equipment such as an overhead crane, side loader, and forklift. Fill in for other positions as needed when short‑hailed or during periods of high demand. Train staff to ensure they are fully qualified for their tasks; coach, mentor, counsel, and develop team members. Lead pre‑shift safety and production huddles with the team. Ensure corrective actions are carried out to eliminate workplace hazards. Respond to machinery breakdowns by directing repairs when possible, arranging for outside repairs, or reassigning personnel as needed. Assume short‑term responsibility for management absences as requested. Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Requirements Successfully pass a skills‑based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills. 3‑5 years of experience. Experience operating equipment and ability to recognize materials in the service center. Possess leadership abilities and strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment. Flexible, dependable, and solutions‑oriented. Develop proficiency in SAP as part of the role; prior experience is not required, but a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn is essential. Physical ability to pass the physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.
