WHAT YOU'LL DO Working under the direction of a Physical Therapist, you'll deliver skilled interventions that help residents move with greater safety, confidence, and independence. You'll: Provide skilled physical therapy interventions in accordance with the established plan of care. Help residents improve strength, balance, gait, transfers, endurance, mobility, and functional performance. Use meaningful, functional activities to help residents achieve their goals. Incorporate the resident's actual environment and daily routines into treatment whenever appropriate. Recognize changes in mobility or functional status and communicate them promptly to the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team. Help residents work toward the things they actually want to do—walking to meals, participating in activities, navigating their apartment, or staying active in their community. Provide education and reinforcement to residents, caregivers, and community staff. Collaborate with PTs, OTs, nursing, caregivers, families, and community leadership. Build strong relationships with residents and families. Document efficiently and thoughtfully using Prava's technology and AI-enabled tools. Participate in a therapy culture focused on clinical excellence, teamwork, accountability, and resident experience. Help create a therapy presence that is visible and integrated throughout the community. WE BELIEVE PTAs ARE CLINICIANS. You're not here simply to count repetitions.
