Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department. The RN maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to emergency room patients.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care planning.
• Delegate patient care priorities effectively within the nursing team.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Supervise and direct personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have an OK RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be attached to submission and through the American Heart Association).
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience in a hospital setting.

Schedule

Shifts will be from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
