District Shift Leader

Participate in a targeted General Manager development plan Perform management duties at a home bakery location Support other bakeries in the market as needed and travel between locations Lead to General Manager standards in the absence of the General Manager Lead by example and act as a brand ambassador Provide ongoing coaching and training for bakery teams Work across different roles to ensure high-quality food and beverages Maintain a safe and clean store environment Complete training in inventory tracking, vendor orders, and cash management Learn and apply P&L analysis, food cost and labor targets, scheduling, and recruiting skills Progress toward taking ownership of a bakery as General Manager when a position becomes available Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including early hours and weekends, starting as early as 3am Must be able to pass a background check Must possess a current, valid driver’s license Must complete Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification program by the end of the GM development plan if not already certified Minimum 30 hours/week required Expected to fill in for General Managers at other locations within the market Expected to accept a permanent General Manager promotion within the market when available; specific location is not guaranteed Core Competencies Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills in a bakery environment, with a focus on training, coaching, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Proficient in inventory tracking, cash management, and P&L analysis to support operational success.
