Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities using a variety of assessment tools, including diagnostic tests and functional performance measurements.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring mobility, and promoting optimal physical function, in accordance with each patient's unique needs and physician's prescriptions.
• Supervise and support physical therapy assistants to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered and that treatment plans are followed precisely.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, assistive devices, and other strategies to maximize independence and functional capabilities.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and the application of physical agents like heat and cold therapy.
• Regularly assess patient progress and adjust treatment protocols based on responsiveness to therapy, documenting all findings and modifications in clinical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams during case conferences to collectively evaluate and refine patient care strategies.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and ensure timely and accurate submission of clinical notes and documentation.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical protocols and workflows to enhance patient care processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will focus on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation from surgeries such as knee and hip replacements, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Our therapists are committed to understanding each patient's unique recovery journey, ensuring that the care provided leads to measurable improvements in mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and continuous professional development.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation. Familiarity with outpatient clinical settings and experience in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems are highly desirable. Experience working within an interdisciplinary team will also be advantageous.
