Nurse Practitioner-Cardiology: Invasive-Interventional

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in our Cardiology Division, Banner University Medical Center - Tucson Banner University Medical Group - Tucson is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide care for inpatient and outpatient services. This position will provide flexible support 50% inpatient & 50% outpatient services. You will work alongside our Interventional Cardiovascular team and care for our cardiovascular patients. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with experience and/or new graduate with appropriate training to be part of an established comprehensive cardiology program. The qualified candidate will work closely with our team of specialized physicians, nursing staff, case managers and support staff and should be comfortable in a fast‑paced environment. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday – Day coverage 8‑hour days, rotating weekends and holidays. Patient Volume: Outpatient clinic – 16 patients/day Inpatient – 5-10 patients/day, rounding with CCU and ICU teams. Essential Functions and Required Qualifications NP Board Certification New NP graduates encouraged to apply with cardiology or cardiac surgery experience preferred Excellent communication skills Ability to work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care Detail‑oriented; dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situations Current Arizona Medical License Current BLS and ACLS Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances Banner Health and University of Arizona Health Network have come together to form Banner – University Medicine, a health system anchored in Phoenix and Tucson that makes the highest level of care accessible to Arizona residents.
