Service Advisor

The Service Advisor is the face of the entire dealership's service department. He, or she, would be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all customers, selling customers the repairs and services their vehicle needs and ensuring the repair is done in a timely fashion.

Position Responsibilities-

• Act as the primary point of contact for all automotive service matters, both in-person and on the phone
• Listen to the customer's reason for bringing the vehicle into the dealership, and offer a logical solution that satisfies the customer's concerns.-
• Alert customers if their inspection is close to expiring, if their tires need to be replaced or if there is any other service that may be beneficial.-
• Provide an accurate pricing estimate for all suggested services and repairs-
• Meet or exceed service sales goals set by management- Obtain properly documented permission before adding on additional services/parts-
• Maintain contact with customer with update phone calls throughout the day, as well as a call when the repair/service is completed-
• Properly create repair orders, and document repair order changes-
• Assign orders to technical staff, and maintain communication regarding job status-
• Carefully inspect all repair/service work before vehicle is returned to customer-
• Handle minor customer complaints with compassion and professionalism-
• Communicate with management whenever there is a situation with a customer that requires it
