About the team:

The Refrigeration Team ensures optimal operation of refrigeration and HVAC systems across multiple stores through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs. They participate in a monthly on-call rotation to address urgent technical needs and collaborate closely with management and service partners to resolve issues efficiently. Their expertise in refrigeration and HVAC controls supports consistent store operations and facility services. The team is committed to maintaining system efficiency and compliance with safety standards, playing a vital role in sustaining reliable and effective equipment performance.

What you'll do:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and manage workloads with external service providers to support facility operations.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVACR regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines.

• Manage refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and procurement to maintain resource availability.

• Compile and report budget information, submit warranty claims, and develop scopes of work for HVACR projects.

• Collaborate with management, coworkers, and business partners to prioritize tasks and communicate progress effectively.

• Provide expert advice and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business needs.

What you'll bring:

• Proven expertise in HVACR troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance, including refrigerant handling.

• Valid EPA 608 Technician Certification and relevant HVAC certifications.

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local HVACR regulations and safety standards.

• Experience managing HVACR equipment inventories and coordinating with suppliers and contractors.

• Ability to interpret technical data, develop scopes of work, and conduct price comparisons.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with management, coworkers, and business partners.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $45.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Vocational or Technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field. Type I/Type II Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling.
