Travel RN - Trauma ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position at a Level I Trauma facility requiring TX or compact RN licensure and Epic charting experience.

Trauma ICU unit within a Level I Trauma facility with 14 rooms and 16 beds

Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:00 PM)

Patient ratio of 1:2

Floating required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed

Uses Epic charting system

Active TX or compact RN license required (must be in hand at time of consideration)

2 years of experience preferred

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC

Epic charting experience required

Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, central line care, IV therapy, blood product administration, and cardiac dysrhythmia management

ICP monitoring experience preferred

Level I Trauma experience preferred

Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU patients in a Level I Trauma setting

Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered

Former staff members must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Travel pairs or groups are not accepted

Core onboarding items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
