WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention
- Inpatient/outpatient/ED care + telehealth (VA Video Connect)
- Suicide risk assessments, hospitalization determinations
- Team leadership, treatment planning, multidisciplinary collaboration
- Supervise/teach psychiatric residents
- Home visits in greater Los Angeles area
- Proficiency in English
- Malpractice insurance
- Professional liability coverage
- VA/military healthcare experience
- PTSD, substance abuse, geriatric psychiatry expertise
- Telehealth experience
- VALLHS credentialing/privileging required before start
- Random drug testing
- Mandatory VA training (Privacy, Cyber Security, HIPAA, Fire Safety, Infection Control)
- Government-furnished IT equipment only
- Hourly rate - actual hours worked (up to 4,500 hrs/year)
- Paid monthly in arrears
- 10 federal holidays - no work
- Overtime/holiday pay = contractor responsibility (not billable)
