General Laborer – 2nd Shift

Job Description

The General Laborer is responsible for monitoring a production line, removing unwanted materials, and assisting with clearing machine jams in a recycling facility. This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates looking to gain experience in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the production line and remove unwanted materials.
• Inspect products and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist in identifying and safely clearing machine jams.
• Follow all safety procedures and operating guidelines.
• Use basic hand tools as needed.
• Support packing, assembly, and packaging activities.
• Assist with material handling and organization.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Work with team members to meet production goals.

Requirements

• Ability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in a dirty, hot industrial setting.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive work.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in an entry-level role.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous production, assembly, packaging, or warehouse experience.
• Experience working in industrial, recycling, or manufacturing environments.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools.
• Forklift or carpentry experience is a plus but not required.

2nd Shift Schedule

• 2:30PM - 11:PM
• Monday – Friday

• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO 63125.

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.95/hr.
