THIS IS FOR A 12/4 START DATE. Surgical Associates offers general surgery services that deal with abdominal organs, soft tissue masses and traumatic injuries. Our General Surgeon is always on call at Springfield Hospital for urgent/emergent surgery such as appendectomy, surgery to relieve bowel obstruction or repair of complex lacerations. Some commonly performed surgical procedures include:
Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better). Traveler must be willing to work Thanksgiving (including Friday and weekend after) AND Christmas-New Year Day Block, (If Needed/Scheduled). RTO during these holidays will not be approved. Thanks! Non-Billable Orientation: 8hrs

- Colonoscopy
- Upper GI Endoscopy
- Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder)
- Soft Tissue Mass Excision (Lipomas, cysts)
- Open and Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair
- Open and Laparoscopic Umbilical Hernia Repair
- Open and Laparoscopic Incisional Hernia Repair
- Excisional Biopsies
- Hemorrhoid Procedures
- Oncologic Surgery for Breast or Colon Cancer
- Antireflux Surgery
- Skin Grafting

- 2+ years of current OR experience in a hospital setting - Required
- Circulator w/ strong Ortho experience
- Previous Travel - Preferred
- Bachelor Degree - Preferred
- Work History
- Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
- 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
- License/Certifications - MUST be uploaded with profile (Current Nursys, BLS - Facility will not pend license/certs)
