Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our boutique bed and breakfast on a part-time, on-call basis. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a hospitality-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms between stays, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
- Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, dining areas, hallways, and restrooms
- Restock guest supplies (toiletries, towels, coffee, etc.)
- Ensure rooms meet high cleanliness and presentation standards
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Provide friendly and respectful interactions with guests when needed
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (hospitality experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to be on-call and respond to scheduling needs
- Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Dependable and punctual
- Takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
- Discreet and respectful of guest privacy
- Part-time, on-call based on occupancy and guest turnover
- Hours may vary and include weekends, holidays, and peak travel seasons
