Landscape Estimator

Job Details Job Location: Birmingham, AL 35210 Job Type: Full-time The overall responsibility for the landscape estimator position is to be a friendly and professional first impression to potential clients for Blackjack Horticulture. This process will involve meeting with clients, performing take-offs, sourcing materials, and overall bidding/estimating functions related to the pricing and selling of work for new and existing clients. Overview of Responsibilities Meet with new and existing clients Gather necessary measurements and information on properties and project sites Estimate materials, labor, equipment, and other functions necessary to perform work Work with existing bid templates and computer programs Perform take-offs and measurements on computer Work with co-workers in managing projects, ensuring a smooth handoff between estimating and operations Routinely follow up on submitted designs and bids Key Metrics for Evaluation Close rate/win rate Timely proposal submissions Accurate estimates Timely follow up on submitted designs and proposals Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Positive attitude, willingness to learn, strong character, and solid work ethic Strong oral and written communication skills College degree in Horticulture is preferred, but not required Experience in landscape construction required Valid driver’s license, pass drug test and criminal background check Embraces relevant technology and actively improves his/her skills References #J-18808-Ljbffr Blackjack Horticulture Careers
