Accounts Receivable Specialist
A leading law firm is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its Accounting team in Cleveland. This role handles day-to-day financial transactions, including recording and applying incoming payments (checks, wires, ACH, credit card, and lockbox activity), making daily bank deposits, and posting trust transactions in accordance with firm policy.
Additional responsibilities include contacting clients on short pays and unidentified receipts, assisting billing with unapplied and trust fund movements, analyzing accounts for possible applications, and sending daily cash collection reports to management.
The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (preferred), at least 2 years of experience in a professional services or law firm setting, and strong analytical, customer service, and data entry skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and Excel. Aderant experience is a plus.
This is an in-office role in a business casual environment, with a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with employer match, disability and life insurance, and paid parental leave. The salary range is $50,000–$60,000.
